Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, taking the assessment, subscribing, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These Terms cover everything Blueprint sells. One agreement, whether you are taking the free assessment, subscribing to Pulse Check, or pre-ordering a physical kit from our store. §6 covers the physical products end to end: the campaign model, shipping, delivery and returns.

You will also see shorter Refund, Shipping and Cancellation policies published on our store, because checkout links to them by name. They are summaries of §6, not separate terms. If one of them ever disagrees with §6, §6 governs, and tell us so we can fix the summary.

2. Who may use Pulse Check

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. The service is currently offered in the United States and Canada. It is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individuals in a romantic relationship.

3. What Pulse Check is — and is not

Pulse Check is a self-reflection and relationship-education tool. It provides structured questionnaires, AI-generated written reflections, journaling prompts, and date-night suggestions.

Pulse Check is not: therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, medical or mental-health treatment, diagnosis, or professional advice of any kind. We are not licensed healthcare providers. No therapist-client, physician-patient, or other professional relationship is created by using the service. Content is generated by automated systems and is not reviewed by a clinician before you see it.

Do not use Pulse Check for emergencies. If you or anyone else is in danger, experiencing a mental-health crisis, or at risk of harm, contact your local emergency services or a licensed professional immediately.

4. Accounts and access

Accounts use passwordless sign-in: we email a single-use link that expires in 15 minutes. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@ourblueprint.co if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

5. Subscriptions, free trial, and automatic renewal

• Plans are $9 per month or $65 per year (or as displayed at purchase).
• New subscribers may receive a 30-day free trial. A payment method is collected at signup and is not charged until the trial ends. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins and the payment method is charged.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled.
• You may cancel any time from the billing screen in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law, or in the case described immediately below.
• Duplicate subscriptions on a linked couple are refunded pro rata. One subscription covers both partners. If the two of you each hold your own subscription and then link accounts, we cancel one of them and refund the unused portion of its current period automatically. We keep the better of the two plans, and neither of you loses access, because the surviving subscription covers you both.
• Deleting your account stops your subscription renewing immediately. You are not charged again. The period you have already paid for is not refunded, and your data is deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy regardless of when that period ends.
• Prices may change on 30 days' notice; changes apply to the following period.

6. Physical products sold as threshold pre-orders

Physical kits are sold as pre-orders on a funding-threshold basis, not as ordinary in-stock purchases:

• Each product has a minimum order threshold and a campaign deadline, both shown on the product page.
• You are charged when you place your pre-order.
• If the threshold is not met by the deadline, your order is cancelled and refunded in full, automatically.
• If the threshold is met, we manufacture and ship within the estimated window shown on the product page. Estimated ship dates are estimates, not guarantees, and manufacturing timelines can move. A delay does not by itself cancel your order or entitle you to a refund, because your payment is committed to production once the campaign funds. If a delay runs more than 14 days past our published estimate we will email you.
• Once a campaign funds, kit sales are final, with these exceptions: an item that arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect. Tell us within 72 hours of delivery, with photographs, and we will replace it or refund it. We do not accept returns for change of mind.
• Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
• Purchasing a kit may include complimentary access to the Pulse Check subscription for a stated period.

Cancelling before a campaign closes. While a campaign is still open, email hello@ourblueprint.co and we will cancel and refund your pre-order.

Shipping and delivery.

• Every kit is a pre-order. By ordering you acknowledge the product is in design or production and that you are reserving a unit from a manufacturing batch.
• Once a campaign closes having reached its threshold, allow 60 days for manufacturing and delivery. That is an estimate measured from the campaign close, not a guaranteed date.
• Shipping rates are calculated at checkout by weight and destination. Within the United States we ship USPS Ground Advantage; to Canada, USPS International or Canada Post. Tracking is provided once the parcel enters the carrier network.
• Allow 5 to 10 business days in transit to US and Canadian addresses after dispatch.
• Customs and duties. US orders are generally duty-free for personal shipments under current rules. Canadian customers are responsible for any GST, HST or handling fee charged on delivery. We cannot predict or cover those.
• Keep your address current. A pre-order can sit for months, so if you move, email us before dispatch. We are not responsible for a parcel sent to an address you did not update.

If something goes wrong.

• Damaged, defective or incorrect: tell us within 72 hours of delivery with photographs. A manufacturing defect is replaced free or refunded. Shipping damage: we file a carrier claim and send a replacement.
• Marked delivered but missing: tell us within 5 business days. We will help you trace it, but we cannot refund an order the carrier has confirmed delivered.
• Never returnable: digital items and gift cards, and anything used or altered after delivery.
• We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.

7. Your content

"Your Content" means everything you write or submit: assessment answers, reflections, journal entries, moment logs, and preferences.

• You own Your Content.
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, encrypt, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the service for you — including sending it to our AI provider to generate your reports and to run automated safety screening (see §8), and to our email provider to deliver content you requested.
• We do not sell Your Content. We do not publish it. We do not use it to advertise to you or anyone else.
• Do not submit content about third parties that you have no right to share, and do not submit others' sensitive information. You are responsible for what you write.

What we commit to, contractually. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information. These are the parts we bind ourselves to here, so they are promises and not just descriptions:

• We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
• Your writing is encrypted with a key that belongs to you alone, using AES-256-GCM on top of our database provider's own encryption, so someone with direct database access sees ciphertext rather than your words. One exception, which we disclose rather than hide: on the free public assessment, if our encryption service is briefly unavailable we save your reflection unencrypted instead of losing it, protected by our provider's standard encryption at rest.
• Your partner can never read what you write. Shared couples content is written at a theme level, never as your words, and anything you mark private is removed before anything shared is produced.
• We never put a sign-in token in a web address. Sign-in uses single-use links that expire in 15 minutes and are exchanged for a session on our servers, so a forwarded email cannot hand someone your account.
• The companies listed in our Privacy Policy process your information on our behalf only and may not use it for their own purposes.
• Deleting your account destroys your encryption key, which permanently renders everything you wrote unreadable to us and to anyone else. We keep only the order and transaction records that tax and accounting law require.

If we ever need to change one of these, we will tell you before it takes effect, in the way §17 describes.

8. Automated processing and AI

You understand and agree that:

• Your written content and answers are processed by automated systems, including a third-party AI provider, to generate your reports, prompts, and suggestions.
• Everything you write to us is automatically screened for indicators of danger (self-harm, abuse, coercive control, substance crisis), including the free public assessment. If the most self-harm, immediate danger or coercive control is detected, that content is excluded from everything we generate. In every case an internal record of the category is created and our team is alerted. See the Privacy Policy §6 for exactly what that record and that alert contain.

• AI output can be wrong. It may misread you, state things that do not apply, or produce content you disagree with. It is a prompt for reflection, not a factual assessment of you or your relationship, and must not be relied on for any consequential decision.
• Automated systems do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

9. Couples and shared content

If you link accounts with a partner:

• Your private writing is never shown to your partner. Shared "couples" content is derived at a theme level and excludes anything you marked private.
• Shared content is visible to both linked partners and cannot be unshared from your partner after generation.
• Either partner may unlink at any time. Unlinking stops future shared content; previously generated shared reports remain available to both.
• If you delete your account, your content is destroyed, but shared reports already generated may remain visible to your former partner, since they are also that person's records.

• One subscription may cover both linked partners; the paying partner controls the billing.

10. Acceptable use

Do not: use the service for anything unlawful; attempt to access another person's data; probe, scan, or attack the service; scrape or bulk-extract content; reverse engineer our systems; misuse the AI features to generate harmful content; impersonate anyone; or resell the service.

11. Intellectual property

The service, its content, software, designs, and brands (including "Pulse Check," "Table for Two," and "Our Blueprint Co.") are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the service. Reports generated for you are yours to keep and use personally.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will improve your relationship or produce any particular outcome, nor that AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or content you submitted that you had no right to submit.

15. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk to others, with notice where practicable.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product before taking effect, and continued use afterward constitutes acceptance.
