0. What this covers

Everything Blueprint does: the free assessment, your Pulse Check account and subscription, everything you write, and orders placed in our store. One policy, so there is nothing to reconcile.

1. The short version

Pulse Check asks you to write honestly about your relationship. We treat that writing as the most sensitive thing we hold. It is encrypted so that it is unreadable even to us in the database, it is never shown to your partner, and it is never sold. We do send it to an AI provider to generate your reports, and we automatically screen it for signs that you are in danger. This policy explains all of that.

2. Information we collect

You give us:

• Email address (required to receive results or create an account).
• Optionally: first name, birthday, relationship status.
• Relationship context you choose to give us, all of it optional: how long you have been together, your living situation, whether children live with you, your age range, what shapes your week, when your evenings are free, whether either of you is working with a therapist, and whether faith or cultural practice shapes your week. A free-text field also invites anything else going on in your life. Some of this is sensitive by nature, including health, therapy and belief. We ask because it changes what advice fits, and every field can be left blank.
• Assessment answers: numeric ratings across five relationship categories.
• Free-form writing: reflections, journal entries, answers to prompts, and "moment logs." You choose what to put here. It may include sensitive details about you, your partner, or others.
• Date-night preferences, including the city you live in, activity preferences, and a budget range.
• Partner linkage if you invite or accept a partner.

Collected automatically: device/browser information, IP address, and product usage events (which screens you visit, which features you use). We do not send your written content to our analytics provider.

From payment providers: subscription and order status. We never receive or store your full card number — our payment processors handle card data directly and we never see it.

3. How we use it

• To generate your personalized reports, prompts, and date-night suggestions.
• To operate your account, subscription, and orders.
• To screen written content for safety concerns (see §6).
• To email you things you asked for (results, reports, prompts, order updates).
• To send marketing email you can unsubscribe from at any time.
• To improve the product in aggregate, and to keep it secure and prevent abuse.
• To comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your written content for advertising.

4. How your writing is protected

• Your written content is encrypted with a key unique to you using AES-256-GCM, layered on top of our database provider's own encryption. Someone with direct access to our database sees ciphertext, not your words.
• Only server-side processes acting for you can decrypt it.
• Your partner can never read your writing. Shared couples content is written at a theme level and excludes anything you mark private. You can mark assessment reflections and journal answers "keep this just for me". Moment logs do not currently have that option and may inform couple-level content, always at a theme level and never as your words.
• Sign-in uses single-use links that expire in 15 minutes. There are no passwords, and we never put a login token in a web address.

One exception we disclose deliberately: on the free public assessment, if our encryption service is briefly unavailable, we save your reflection unencrypted rather than lose your submission. It is protected by our provider's standard encryption at rest in that case.

5. AI processing — what leaves our systems

To generate your reports we send content to our AI provider, over an encrypted connection. Specifically:

• They receive: your written reflections and journal entries; your category scores and how they have moved; themes and suggestions from your prior reports; the relationship context you gave us — relationship status, how long you have been together, living situation, children at home, age range, faith or cultural practice, whether you are in therapy, what shapes your week and when your evenings are free; anything you wrote in the free-text "what is going on" field, which is sent as you wrote it even though we store it encrypted; your date-night preferences including your city and spending range; and first names, yours and your partner's, if you have linked accounts.
• For a linked couple, both partners' free-text notes travel in the same request.
• They do not receive: your email address, surname, account identifier, or any payment information. Our safety screening sends the text with no identifying information attached at all.
• They cannot read our database and do not hold our encryption keys.
• For couples reports we send both partners' written reflections to the model, minus anything either of you marked private. The model is instructed to write at a theme level and never to quote or attribute, and the finished report is checked for leaks before it is stored, so what your partner READS is themes rather than your words even though the model saw them.

6. Automated safety screening

Because people write about hard things, everything you write to us is automatically screened by an AI classifier for indications of danger: self-harm or suicidal thoughts, physical violence, coercive control, or substance crisis. This includes the free public assessment, which is screened before you have an account.

• When a concern of any level is detected, an alert email is sent to our team, containing your email address and the category labels. It does not contain your text.
• We create an internal flag record holding the category labels and nothing else. The labels come from a fixed list, such as "Coercive control" or "Isolation from support network". The classifier cannot write prose about you, so the record cannot describe your circumstances, and neither can the alert.
• If we detect self-harm, immediate physical danger, or coercive control, that writing is excluded from everything we generate for you, so the product does not write relationship advice on top of it. Writing detected as a substance crisis is flagged, and is still used to write your report, because it is usually context the report should acknowledge rather than quietly work around.
• We do not tell you that you have been flagged, and flag records are not included in the self-serve data export. If you want to know whether one exists for you, ask us.
• This screening is automated and is not a monitoring service. We are not clinicians, we do not watch your account, and detection does not mean anyone will intervene. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

7. Who else receives data

We work with a small number of service providers. Each acts only on our instructions, may not use your information for its own purposes, and is bound by a contract with us. We describe them by category rather than by name.

If you want the specific companies, email hello@ourblueprint.co and we will tell you. We are happy to say; we simply do not publish the list.

We also disclose information if legally required, or to protect rights and safety.

8. Couples and shared data

If you link accounts, some information becomes shared by design: both partners see the joint report, and both see the shared date-night package. Your private writing is never part of that. If you unlink or delete your account, previously generated shared reports remain available to your former partner, because those are also their records.

9. Retention and deletion

• We keep your data while your account is active.
• You can export everything we hold about you at any time, with your own writing decrypted so it is readable.
• You can delete your account at any time. You get a 7-day window to change your mind. After that we:
• destroy your encryption key, permanently rendering all of your written content unreadable;
• delete your journal entries, check-ins, drafts, prompts, and derived AI memory;
• remove your personal details from your account record and delete your login;
• keep order and transaction records where we are required to for tax and accounting.
• Because a former partner's shared reports reference your account, a non-identifying placeholder record may remain so their history is not corrupted. It contains no personal information about you and cannot be used to access anything.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Contact hello@ourblueprint.co. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

11. Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

12. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere.

13. Cookies and tracking

What we store on your device

• Essential cookies for sign-in and security. These cannot be turned off.
• Product analytics, which keeps an identifier in a cookie and in your browser's local storage. Once you sign in, that identifier is linked to your account and email so we can see how the product is used across a session.

How consent works. Pulse Check and our store at ourblueprint.co share one analytics choice, and the choice is offered on the store; this app reads and honours it rather than asking twice. If you declined there, we do not capture analytics here. You can change your mind at any time at ourblueprint.co, or email hello@ourblueprint.co and we will action it for you.

Declining analytics never affects the product. Sign-in, your reports, your writing and your subscription all work exactly the same either way.

14. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, per-user application-layer encryption for your writing, row-level database access controls, and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Changes

We will post updates here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-product before they take effect.
